India's monthly industrial production in June this year rose by 7.1 percent year on year, after eight consecutive months in which double-digit rises in industrial output were recorded.
 
Among the various industrial sectors, in June metal products and parts, excluding machinery and equipment, showed a growth of 62.1 percent year on year.
 
Meanwhile, industrial production in India's basic metal and alloy industry in June declined by 0.5 percent as compared to June 2009.
