India’s Directorate General for Antidumping and Allied Duties (DGAD) has recommended provisional antidumping (AD) duty rates on imports of wire rod of alloy or non-alloy steel, originating in or exported from China. The recommended duty rates are equivalent to the difference between the minimum reference prices of $499/mt for Chinese wire rod producer Minmetals Yingkou Medium Plate Co. Ltd and $538/mt for other companies in China and the realized import prices.

The investigation launched upon a complaint received from Indian producers Steel Authority of India Limited (SAIL), Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL), Usha Martin Limited and JSW Steel Limited, alleging that the subject goods are being dumped into the Indian market by exporters from China, thereby causing material injury to the domestic industry, covers the period between July 2015 and December 2015.

The products in question currently fall under Customs Tariff Statistics Position Numbers 7213 and 7227.
