Ilyich Iron & Steel Works returns to profit in 2014

Ukraine's largest vertically-integrated steelmaking company Metinvest has announced that its subsidiary Ilyich Iron & Steel Works of Mariupol has posted a net profit of about UAH 453.615 million ($18.52 million) for 2014, compared to a net loss of UAH 2.93 billion recorded in 2013.

Ilyich Iron & Steel Works produces a wide range of hot rolled and cold rolled steel, including for shipbuilding, oil pipelines, gas pipelines and water-pipes. The company is the sole enterprise in Ukraine which produces galvanized steel and tanks for liquid gases.
