South Korean steelmaker Hyundai Steel's project for the construction of its blast furnace No. 3 is being implemented faster than planned.

Hyundai Steel has announced that it has this year so far spent KRW 425.7 billion on the construction of the blast furnace No. 3, out of the budget of KRW 687.5 billion allocated for this year.

While it took 3.1 years for Hyundai Steel to complete construction of its blast furnace No. 1, the company plans to shorten the construction period for the blast furnace No. 3 to 2.5 years.
