Housing starts in Chinese social housing projects hit 56.6% of 2011 target

The number of housing starts in Chinese social housing projects up to June 30 of the current year reached 56.6 percent of total planned social housing starts for 2011, according to the relevant Chinese government department. At the end of May, the percentage in question had been just 34 percent.
