Hong Kong reports decline for February exports

Hong Kong's Census and Statistics Department disclosed that the country's total exports dropped 5.4% to HKD 127.5 billion (approx. $16.4 billion) in February. Re-exported goods fell 4.5% to HKD 121.3 billion (approx. $15.6 billion) last month. Domestic exports plunged 20.4% to HKD 6.3 billion (approx. $807.7 million). Hong Kong's imports totaled HKD 137.7 billion (approx. $17.7 billion) in February, down 10.9%. Consequently, the country's trade deficit reached HKD 10.2 billion (approx. $1.3 billion).
