Hebei’s finished steel exports up 47.3 percent in January-August

In the January-August period of the current year, China’s Hebei Province exported 15.124 million mt of finished steel, up 47.3 percent, with a value totaling RMB 41.09 billion ($6.45 billion), increasing  by 8.8 percent, both  year on year, according to Hebei customs authorities.

In the January-August period this year, finished steel exports from Hebei Province were shipped to 187 countries, while countries in the Association of Southeast Nations (ASEAN) were the main destination for the exports in question. In particular, Hebei Province exported 5.41 million mt of finished steel to ASEAN countries in the given period, rising by 58.7 percent year on year.
