Hebei Steel Group starts construction on projects in Caofeidian

Major Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group has stated that on April 7 it started construction work on its new logistics park, its welded pipe project and its land reclamation project in Caofeidian New Area.
 
Hebei Iron and Steel Group is investing RMB 6.8 billion ($1.08 billion) in its Caofeidian Logistics Park to construct two 20,000 mt break-bulk berths, two 50,000 mt general cargo and bulk berths and two 250,000 mt specialized ore berths. Upon completion, the park will be a multifunctional logistics park with warehouses for , it will be a  RMB 6.8 billion on the Caofeidian Logistics Park to construct two 20,000 mt bulk portmetallurgical materials, a steel processing and distribution center and an electronic spot trading platform.
 
Meanwhile, the investment in the welded pipe project will total RMB 7 billion ($1.11 billion). Its planned annual output capacity is 1.3 million mt, which includes 600,000 mt of electric resistance welded (ERW) pipe and 500,000 mt of spiral welded pipe.
