Hebei Steel Group inks major strategic cooperation agreement for 2014

Chinese steel company Hebei Iron and Steel Group has announced that it has signed a strategic cooperation agreement for 2014 with 49 major customers including China Minmetals, China Railway Construction Corporation, China Railway Materials. According to the agreement, Hebei Steel Group will supply a total of 14.287 million mt of steel products to the customers in question in the current year.

"Amid fierce market competition, our marketing channels are critical," Hebei Steel Group general manager Peng Zhaofeng stated in relation to the agreement. According to the group's plans, it will sell 38.25 million mt of steel products overall in the current year, while its steel product sales for key government projects during the year will total 3.5 million mt.
