Harsco expands MutliServ division

Pennsylvania-based Harsco Corporation has announced that its MultiServ mill services division is expanding into South America and Central Europe. MultiServ will start a new metal recovery operation at SiderPeru, Peru's largest steel processor. SiderPeru produces steel slabs, hot and cold rolled flats, billets, rebar, and grinding bars. The contract is MultiServ's first ever in Peru. The company has also been awarded two contracts for services at US Steel Serbia in Central Europe. The contracts are in addition to previously-announced contracts awarded to MultiServ last year shortly after US Steel acquired the Serbian operation. MultiServ will, in addition to its other duties, perform additional scrap processing, blast furnace pit digging, and melt shop operations. The contracts run for 10 years. MultiServ has also been awarded a 10-year renewed contract of its ongoing mill services to US Steel Kosice. MultiServ operate at over 160 mills in 30 countries. The new contracts are expected to generate approximately $25 million in combined revenue over the course of their duration.
