Hansteel to supply pipeline steel for natural gas project in Handan

On August 12, Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group announced that its Hebei-based subsidiary Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel) will supply 30,000 mt of pipeline steel for a natural gas pipeline upgrade project centered on the city of Handan in Hebei Province. 

The natural gas pipeline upgrade project will involve the construction of 200 kilometers of high pressure gas pipeline from east to west and a further 100 kilometers of similar pipeline from south to north, with an anticipated maximum annual gas transmission capacity of 1.5 billion m3.

Meanwhile, Hebei Iron and Steel Group also stated that its Hebei-based subsidiary Xuanhua Iron and Steel Co. (Xuanhua Steel) sold 25,000 mt of ER70S-6 welding wire rod in July, 13,000 mt more than the sales volume recorded in June.
