Hebei Province-based Chinese steel producer Handan Iron and Steel Co. (Hansteel), a subsidiary of Hebei Iron and Steel Co., has successfully developed production of DC07 grade ultra-low-carbon interstitial-free (IF) steel, as reported by local media sources in Hebei.

The steel in question, which is currently only produced by a few steel mills in China, possesses high strength and extra-deep drawability, and is mainly used in steel plate for the automotive sector.
