Hansteel cuts ex-works prices for October

On October 8, Hebei Province-based Hansteel has announced cuts to the ex-work prices of all its main products for the period from October 8 to October 17. The price adjustments are as follows:

1. The wire rod price has declined by RMB 320/mt ($46/mt) compared with ten days previous. As a result, the new price of 6.5 mm Q235 common carbon high speed wire rod is RMB 4,280/mt ($626/mt).

2. The price of rebar has been reduced by RMB 180/mt ($26/mt) from ten days before. Following the adjustment, 12 mm HRB 335 costs RMB 4,780/mt ($699/mt), 14 mm HRB 335 costs RMB 4,680/mt ($685/mt), and the price of 16-25 mm HRB 335 is RMB 4,580/mt ($670/mt). For small-sized rebars, a surcharge of RMB 200/mt ($29/mt) is added. For HRB 400 rebars of the same size, RMB 140/mt ($20/mt) is added.

3. The producer's new price for round bar is down RMB 180/mt ($26/mt) from ten days ago. As a result, the price of 16-25 mm Q235 now stands at RMB 4,620/mt ($676/mt).

4. The price of common carbon plate is down RMB 400/mt ($46/mt), with 8 mm Q235B now standing at RMB 5,330/mt ($780/mt), while 14-25 mm Q235B stands at RMB 4,850/mt ($710/mt).

5. Angle prices are down RMB 180/mt ($26/mt) from 10 days ago, with #7-9 Q235 now at RMB 4,720/mt ($691/mt).

6. The producer has cut its channel prices by RMB 180/mt ($26/mt). As a result, the price of #8-10 Q235 now stands at RMB 4,750/mt ($695/mt).

All the prices above include 17 percent VAT.
