On January 1, Hebei Province-based Hansteel announced its new ex-works prices to be effective for January 2009. The details are as follows:
1. Wire rod
The new price of 6.5 mm Q235 is at RMB 3,580/mt ($524/mt).
2. Rebar
The new price of 16-25 mm HRB 335 is at RMB 3,710/mt ($543/mt).
3. HR
The price of 5.5 mm Q235 is now at RMB 3,650/mt ($534/mt).
4. CR
The new price of 1.0 mm SPCC is at RMB 4,250/mt ($622/mt).
5. Common carbon plate
The new price of 14-25 mm Q235B is at RMB 3,550/mt ($519/mt).
All the above prices include 17 percent VAT.
