Handan Steel wins order for 7,000 mt of J55 petroleum casing pipe

According to a statement issued on October 24 by Hebei Province-based Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Group, its subsidiary Handan, Hebei-based Handan Iron and Steel Group has won an order for 7,000 mt of J55 petroleum casing pipes.

J55 oil casing pipes, of high-level steel grade, are used for oil exploration at depths of up to 3,000 meters. The two specifications in the order in question were 8.94 mm × 1,545 mm and 9.65 mm × 1,079 mm. So far Handan Steel has produced 2,000 mt of J55 oil casing pipes for the order in question.
