Hanbao Steel’s pipeline steel output exceeds 40,000 mt in March

Chinese steelmaker Hebei Iron and Steel Co. has announced that its subsidiary Hanbao Iron and Steel Co. (Hanbao Steel) produced 40,998 mt of pipeline steel in March, which is a record monthly output.

Hanbao Steel's pipeline steel includes L245, X42, X52, L360, X60, X80 and J55 grades, with thickness of 5.6-18.4 mm and tensile strength of 300-700 MPa. The steelmaker's pipeline steel has been used in the Nanjiang natural gas project, the Guigang-Yulin pipeline project and in China's second west-to-east natural gas transmission project.
