Guryevsk Metallurgical Works ups crude steel output by 82.3 percent in Jan-July

Russian steelmaker Guryevsk Metallurgical Works (GMZ) has announced that in January-July this year it increased its crude steel output by 82.3 percent compared to the same period last year, producing 112,300 mt.
Meanwhile, in the first seven months of 2010, GMZ increased its long steel product output by 149.5 percent to 137,500 mt compared to just 61,600 mt in the same period last year, and upped its steel grinding balls production by 121.1 percent to 54,400 mt compared to 24,600 mt produced in January-July 2009.
In addition, during the period in question GMZ also increased its steel product shipments by 3.7 times year on year to 187,700 mt from 51,200 mt in the first seven months of 2009.
