Guangzhou Steel increases rebar prices
SteelOrbis Shanghai On October 9, Guangdong province based Guangzhou Steel announced the latest ex-factory prices of long products. Rebar prices indicated an increase while wire rod prices remained unchanged. Prices of rebar increased RMB 50/mt ($6). The price of 18-25 mm diameter HRB335 rebar is at RMB 3,466/mt ($438). Wire rod prices retained the previous level, 6.5 mm diameter Q235 high speed wire rod being at RMB 3,516/mt ($445). The above prices include VAT and are effective as of October 9, 2006.
