Guangzhou Steel achieves sales revenues of RMB 21 billion in 2009

China's Guangdong Province-based Guangzhou Steel has announced that, despite the global financial crisis, in 2009 it produced 2.501 million mt of crude steel and registered sales revenues of RMB 20.971 billion ($3.07 billion), of which more than 50 percent came from its non-steelmaking businesses (e.g., iron ore, real estate and logistics).
