The government of Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region in China has announced that it plans to establish large companies in the local coal industry and construct coal storage and distribution bases in coastal areas and in areas of strong coal consumption, in order to resolve shortages of coal supply and meet increasing demand for coal.

Within the scope of the local government's plans, Guangxi Coal Logistics CEO Xu Zhiping stated that the company plans to construct three coal storage and distribution bases and one coal trading center.

At present, Guangxi's annual coal consumption is in the range of 50-60 million mt, with more than 70 percent of this volume transported from other regions.
