Guangdong sees iron ore imports climb in first half
Iron ore imports at China's Guangdong Port during the first half of 2005 increased 25.9 percent year on year to 8.65 million tons. India, Brazil and Australia accounted for almost 75 percent of all iron ore that passed through Guangdong Port in the first half. Shipments from India totaled 3.18 million tons, down 13.4 percent year on year. Brazil was next with 1.63 million tons, up 80.6 percent, followed by Australia with 1.59 million tons, up 52.2 percent.Guangdong sees iron ore imports climb in first half
