Goods transported by China’s railways down 9.74 percent in Jan-May

In the first five months of the current year, China's railways carried 1013.06 million passengers, up 9.2 percent year on year, as announced by China Railway Corp on June 9. In the first five months, China's railways transported 1.43 billion mt of goods, decreasing by 9.74 percent year on year.

In the given period, China's railways transported 37.05 million mt of metallurgical coke and 76.83 million mt of finished steel.
