Glencore’s coking coal output down 10 percent in 2016

Thursday, 02 February 2017 15:48:08 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul
International commodities producer and trader Glencore has announced that in 2016 the coking coal output from its Australian operations amounted to 5.3 million mt, falling 10 percent compared to 2015, mainly due to geological issues at Oaky Creek mine earlier in the year.

In 2016, Glencore's nickel production totaled 115,100 mt, rising by 20 percent year on year, due to the processing of material stockpiled during maintenance work at the Sudbury smelter in the previous year.
