German metal manufacturing turnover down 1.7 percent in Feb from Jan

In February this year, the seasonally and working-day adjusted turnover in the German manufacturing industry fell by 0.5 percent compared to January, according to the preliminary data reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In January this year, a corrected 0.8 percent increase was registered compared to December. 
  
In February of the current year, the turnover of German metal and metal product manufacturing decreased by 1.7 percent compared to the previous month with domestic sales up 0.1 percent and foreign sales down 4.1 percent, month on month. 
 
In the given month, the turnover in manufacture of fabricated metal products in Germany increased by 0.2 percent, with domestic sales growing by 0.4 percent and foreign sales down by 0.3 percent, all compared to the previous month.
