German metal manufacturing turnover down 0.9 percent in May from April

In May this year, the seasonally and working-day adjusted turnover in the German manufacturing industry fell by 0.8 percent compared to April, according to the preliminary data reported by Germany's Federal Statistical Office (Destatis). In April, a corrected 0.8 percent increase was registered compared to March. 
                                      
In May of the current year, the turnover of German metal and metal product manufacturing decreased by 0.9 percent compared to the previous month with domestic sales down 1.9 percent and foreign sales up 0.6 percent, month on month. 
 
In the given month, the turnover in manufacture of fabricated metal products in Germany decreased by 1.6 percent, with domestic sales dropping by 3.7 percent and foreign sales up by 2.6 percent, all compared to the previous month.
