German iron ore import prices improve in October

According to a report released by the German Federal Statistical Office (Destatis), in October this year the import price of iron ore increased by 19.5 percent year on year in Germany, following the 6.4 percent year-on-year increase recorded in the previous month, while it was up 0.8 percent as compared to September this year. In October, the import price of nickel fell by 21.8 percent compared to the same month of last year and was down by 1.7 percent month on month.

In October, the average import price of iron and steel and ferroalloys in Germany fell by 6.6 percent year on year and was down 0.4 percent compared to the previous month.
