German crude steel output down 3.1 percent in November

In November this year, Germany's crude steel output decreased by 4.1 percent month on month to 3.48 million metric tons, falling by 3.1 percent compared to the same month of the previous year, according to the information provided by the German steel federation Wirtschaftsvereinigung Stahl (WV Stahl). In the January-November period, crude steel production in Germany remained stable year on year at 39.7 million mt.
 
Meanwhile, in October Germany's total hot rolled steel product output amounted to 3.12 million metric tons, decreasing 1.3 percent year on year, including 1.96 million metric tons of flat steel products - down 1.7 percent year on year, and 1.15 million metric tons of long steel products - down 0.5 percent year on year. 
 
In the first ten months of the year, the country's hot rolled steel output increased by 1.6 percent to 31.3 million mt, consisting of 20.43 million metric tons of flat steel products - up 0.9 percent year on year, and 10.87 million metric tons of long steel products - rising by 2.9 percent year on year.
