Russian state gas monopoly Gazprom has stated that in 2015 it may increase purchases of large diameter (LD) pipes (LDP) by almost two times compared to the previous year to 1.7-2 million mt.

The chairman of the coordinating council of Russia's Association of Pipes Producers, Ivan Shabalov, stated that 1.3 million mt of LD pipes has been already contracted by Gazprom for this year. The LD pipes will be delivered for the Power of Siberia Pipeline, the Russian part of the Southern Corridor pipeline, and for the Bovanenkovo-Ukhta and Ukhta-Torzhok pipelines.
