Gallardo Balboa to restart galvanized and pre-painted steel plant in Badajoz

Spanish steelmaker Gallardo Balboa has announced that it plans to resume production of galvanized and pre-painted steel at its Jerez de los Cabaleros facility in Badajoz, Spain in March this year, as part of its restructuring process which targets growth in the steel market through competitiveness in costs, quality and service.
 
The company’s galvanized and pre-painted steel plant has an annual production capacity of 200,000 mt of galvanized coils and 150,000 mt of pre-painted coils.
 
Gallardo Balboa’s managing director Javier Sánchez stated that the plant will adapt its production to the existing demand in national and international markets.
