Fujian to eliminate 180,000 mt of crude steel capacity in 2012

The government of the Chinese province of Fujian has announced annual production capacity elimination targets for the current year.

Accordingly, annual output capacities which the province intends to eliminate in the current year include 12,000 mt of pig iron production capacity, 180,000 mt of crude steel capacity, 17,160 mt of ferroalloy capacity and 80,000 mt of coal output capacity.
