French new private vehicle registrations slightly increase in May

In May 2010, seasonally adjusted new private vehicle registrations in France increased slightly by 0.2 percent month on month totaling 174,547 units, according to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE). In April, new registrations had decreased by 7.5 percent over the previous month.
 
In comparison with May 2009, the decrease rate was registered at 12.2 percent.
