France's steel product import value down 8.5 percent in Jan-Apr

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-April period of the current year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports amounted to a value of €2.53 billion, decreasing by 8.5 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France imported €521.7 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 19.7 percent, €175.2 million of cold rolled steel strip - falling by 5.5 percent, €122.3 million of cold drawn wire - decreasing by four percent, €120.9 million of cold rolled steel bars - down 15 percent, and €481.7 million of metal structures and parts - increasing by 3.5 percent, all compared to the January-April period of 2015.
