France's steel product export value up 2.7% in January-November

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the January-November period of last year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €8.84 billion, increasing by 2.7 percent year on year.

During the period in question, France exported €1.77 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 5.3 percent, €459.5 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 0.8 percent, €348 million of cold drawn wire - up 0.9 percent, €307.4 million of cold rolled steel bars - down two percent, and €635.2 million of metal structures and parts - up 16.6 percent, all compared to January-November 2013.

Meanwhile, in the January-November period of last year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy imports totaled €7.5 billion, down four percent year on year.

During the given period, France imported €1.43 billion of steel pipes and tubes - down 6.2 percent, €549.9 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 1.6 percent, €351.8 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 1.1 percent, €314.67 million of cold drawn wire - down 3.2 percent, and €1.3 billion of metal structures and parts - up 6.4 percent, all compared to the same period of the previous year.
