France's steel product export value up 19.4 percent in Q1

According to the statistics released by the French Ministry of Economy, Finance and Industry, in the first quarter this year France's basic steel product and ferroalloy exports amounted to a value of €2.49 billion, rising by 19.4 percent year on year.
 
During the period in question, France exported €363.55 million of steel pipes and tubes - down 22.4 percent, €167.46 million of cold rolled steel strip - up 20.6 percent, €92.63 million of cold drawn wire - up by 1.2 percent, €96.62 million of cold rolled steel bars - up 19.3 percent, and €155.18 million of metal structures and parts - down by 0.6 percent, all compared to the same period of 2016.
