France’s new industrial orders up 12.2 percent in Q2

According to the statistics released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), in July this year France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles, rose slightly by 0.9 percent month on month. In June, a revised month-on-month increase of 0.4 percent was registered. Meanwhile, in the month in question, export orders icreased 2.9 percent as compared to the previous month.

In the second quarter of 2011 France's new industrial orders received, excepting heavy tranport vehicles increased 12.2 percent compared to the same period last year. In April-June period industrial orders in France's automotive industry rose by 14.7 percent over the same period last year.

In July, industrial orders in the domestic metallurgical industry rose by 3.2 percent as compared to the previous month, while industrial orders in the manufacture of metal products except machinery rose by 3.4 percent as compared to June. In July, industrial orders in France's automotive industry fell by 0.8 percent as compared to the previous month, following an increase of 4.8 percent recorded in June.
