France’s construction cost index up 1.8 percent in Q1

According to the data released by France's National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE), the country's construction cost index in the first quarter of 2013 stood at 1,646, increasing compared to the 1,639 recorded in the previous quarter, while it rose 1.8 percent as compared to the first quarter of the previous year.

The country's construction cost index has risen on year-on-year basis since the fourth quarter of 2009.
