Foreign direct investment in China up 9.2 percent in January-August

Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-August period of the current year totaled $85.34 billion, up 9.2 percent year on year, with a total of 16,827 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, up 10.7 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC) on September 10.

In August this year, FDI in China amounted to $8.71 billion, up 22 percent year on year.
