Foreign direct investment (FDI) in China in the January-October period of the current year totaled $103.68 billion, up 8.6 percent year on year, with a total of 21,022 new companies set up by foreign investment in China, up 9.3 percent year on year, as announced by China's Ministry of Commerce (MOC).
In the January-October period of this year, $32.6 billion of foreign direct investment (FDI) went into China’s manufacturing industry, up 0.2 percent year on year, accounting for 31.4 percent of the total FDI figure, while $63.42 billion of FDI went into the country’s services industry, rising by 19.4 percent year on year, accounting for 61.2 percent of the total.
