Foreign direct investment in Ukrainian metallurgy amounts to $5.612 billion

According to the data issued by the State Statistics Committee of Ukraine, as of April 1, 2010, the foreign direct investment (FDI) in Ukraine's manufacture of basic metals and fabricated metal products amounted to $5.612 billion, which is 14 percent of the total foreign investment in Ukraine.

In particular, FDI from Cyprus amounted to $529.6 million, from Germany it amounted to $4.6 billion, from the Netherlands to $43.3 million, from the UK to $84.2 million, from the British Virgin Islands to $39.1 million, while FDI from the US reached $53.7 million.
