As reported by the Vietnam Steel Association (VSA), sales of finished steel in Vietnam declined to 233,000 mt in January, down 60 percent month on month, and it is expected that the finished steel sales volume will remain at a low level in February.

The decline in sales has caused finished steel product inventory in Vietnam to reach as high as 400,000 mt. Meanwhile, semi-finished steel inventory in Vietnam stands at around 500,000 mt.
