Finished steel exports from Hebei Province up 89.3 percent in 2014

In 2014, finished steel exports from China's Hebei Province amounted to 27.1714 million mt, rising by 89.3 percent year on year, according to the Hebei Daily on March 13.
 
In the given year, Hebei produced 185.3034 million mt of crude steel and 169.3257 million mt of pig iron, down 0.6 percent and 0.99 percent year on year, which are the first year-on-year declines since 2000.
 
Meanwhile, in 2014, Hebei Province's finished steel export volume accounted for a 28.93 percent share of China's total finished steel export volume, with Hebei being the biggest exporter among Chinese provinces. In the given year, Hebei Province imported 250,900 mt of finished steel, down 8.59 percent year on year.
