Feralpi to receive 24,000 mt of scrap from Costa Concordia wreck

Italian long steel producer Feralpi Group is to receive 24,000 metric tons of scrap from the wreck of the Costa Concordia luxury cruise ship, which capsized four years ago off the western coast of Italy, as reported by Italian media sources. Demolition of the ship is currently coming to an end in the port of Genoa. Each day up to five trucks will transport the scrap in question from Genoa to Feralpi’s facilities.
