Russian mining and steelmaking group Evraz has announced that it will supply 2,000 mt of high quality 54 E1 rails for the SkyPark Terminal at Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. The rails will be produced at Evraz West-Siberian Steel plant (Evraz ZSMK) and will be shipped to Malaysia by the end of the third quarter of the current year.

Evraz ZSMK successfully passed qualification tests with Malaysian Railways (Keretapi Tanah Melayu Berhad, KTMB) in April this year.

Evraz said that Asia, and Malaysia in particular, is one of its target export markets and that it is planning to further develop sales in the region as it sees significant growth in demand for railway products due to the development of urban transport and new railway lines.
