Evraz’s Rocky Mountain mill in Pueblo, Colorado will lay off over 200 workers on a temporary basis, with other workers subject to furloughs, according to local news reports.

The mill’s pipe operations have seen a plunge in demand from both the Covid-19 pandemic and historically low oil prices. According to news reports, the mill’s steel rod and bar products will continue production.
