Russian mining and steel producing company Evraz Group has announced that its subsidiary Evraz ZSMK has started to produce European 60 Е1 rails with a length of 100 meters for both passenger and cargo transportation.

Evraz stated that the new rails respond to the strictest requirements in terms of geometry and straightness, and demonstrate high durability and wear resistance. 60 Е1 rails are the first European sections produced at the plant with a length of 100 meters.  Previously 100-meter rails were only offered for the domestic market. The company, the first Russian company to start producing this kind of product, is also improving logistics to increase geography of delivery.
