Evraz companies see output declines in January-June

In January-June of the current year, Evraz DMZ Petrovskogo, located in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, an integrated steel mill specializing in the manufacture and sale of pig iron, steel and rolled products, saw an 11 percent decrease year on year in its crude steel production to 432,000 mt and a 12 percent decrease in its finished steel production to 381,000 mt.

In the first six months of 2011, ore enrichment plant Evraz Sukha Balka, one of the leading Ukrainian enterprises specializing in iron ore underground mining, increased its iron ore production by 50 percent year on year to 1.078 million mt.

Meanwhile, the coke production of Evraz companies Evraz Bagliykoks, Dneprokoks and Evraz Dneprodzerzhinsky Coke and Chemical Plant (Evraz DKHZ) decreased by 11 percent in January-June this year compared to the same period of last year, falling to 898,000 mt.
