Evraz companies issue output results for first eight months

In January-August of the current year, Evraz DMZ Petrovskogo, located in Dnepropetrovsk, Ukraine, an integrated steel mill specializing in the manufacture and sale of pig iron, steel and rolled products, saw a two percent decrease year on year in its crude steel production to 588,000 mt and a five percent decrease in its finished steel production to 509,000 mt.

In the first eight months of 2011, ore enrichment plant Evraz Sukha Balka, one of the leading Ukrainian enterprises specializing in iron ore underground mining, increased its iron ore production by 55 percent year on year to 1.577 million mt.

Meanwhile, the coke production of Evraz companies, Evraz Bagliykoks, Dneprokoks and Evraz Dneprodzerzhinsky Coke and Chemical Plant (Evraz DKHZ), decreased by nine percent year on year in January-August this year, falling to 1.141 million mt.
