EU scrap price indexes stable in May compared to April

According to indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER), in May this year local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) remained generally stable compared to the previous month, following the €10/mt month-on-month increase recorded in April.

Meanwhile, in May, significant decreases were recorded on year-on-year basis, as shown in the following table:
