EU scrap price indexes stable in Dec compared to Nov level

Local scrap prices in the European Union (EU) in December last year did not indicate any variations compared to the previous month, according to indexes issued by the European Steel Association (EUROFER).

Meanwhile, in December, decreases in the range of 14.55-15.52 percent were recorded on year-on-year basis.

In the whole of 2014, very similar declines were observed on average for all scrap qualities, as shown below.
