EU initiates expiry review on AD duty for ferrosilicon from China and Russia

Thursday, 28 February 2013 15:11:17 (GMT+3)   |   Istanbul
The European Commission has announced that it has initiated an expiry review of the antidumping (AD) duty on ferrosilicon imports from China and Russia.

The review was initiated following the application filed in November 2012 by Euroalliages, association of European ferroalloy producers, on behalf of producers representing more than 25 percent of the total EU ferrosilicon production, claiming that the expiry of the AD duty is likely to result in the recurrence or the continuation of the dumping and injury.

The expiry review will be concluded within 15 months of the publication of the notice dated February 28, 2013.

The products covered by the AD order fall within CN codes 7202 21 00, 7202 29 10 and 7202 29 90.
